Conviction Politics vs Ideology

Mal Fletcher on BBC Radio

The election of Jeremy Corbyn as leader of Britain's Labour Party has raised a number of questions about the nature of political leadership.

Is there a difference between conviction politics and ideologically driven politics? What of Mr Corbyn's declaration that, were he to come to power, he would push for the re-nationalisation of Britain's railways?

Does Mr Corbyn need a better PR person to help his popular image?

Mal Fletcher discusses this with the BBC's Will Gompertz and Oxford University art historian Professor Geraldine Johnson.
